Policies

Please be on time! Due to fluctuating lighting conditions, etc, it is imperative that you come on time to maximize our session. I try to be flexible, but it’s important that you communicate with me should you be late.
Bring assist or a friend! Having assist, especially at night time, will help me immensely with your shoot especially if you want to do cape/hair flips, etc. I can’t guarantee that I will have an assist with me during your shoot.
Please come prepared with reference images and poses that you want to do and communicate what you want out of this shoot. I too will be prepared with reference images, but, I find that the best shoots work best if both cosplayer and photographer communicate with each other on what the cosplayer wants. Without communication and a clear idea of the character / what you want beyond the name and series I won’t be able to create photos that both of us are satisfied with.
50% deposit upfront is required to secure a shoot; full payment is due by 1 week before the con / off-location shoot, unless otherwise communicated. If a full payment is not made by then, then you will lose your deposit and I will not refund you. I take payment through Venmo / Paypal / Zelle.
Selection policy: Should you not select your images within two weeks of the contact sheet being sent out, I reserve the right to choose your images for you.
Cancellation/refund policy: Cancellations can be made with partial refund of the deposit or your shoot can be rolled over to another day / event up to 2 weeks before the day/event. If a cancellation is made with less than 2 weeks till the day/event, you will be ineligible for a refund of your deposit. Should I be unable to make it to a shoot due to any circumstances, you will receive a full refund.
By booking, you consent to allow me (photographer) to select and utilize any finished photographs for publication / portfolio usage, unless otherwise indicated. Your photographs may be used either on my website or social media to promote my work. You will have the option of opting out of portfolio usage.
Upon return of final images, all color grading is final. Adjusting any colors is prohibited, as doing this disrupts the integrity of my own work. However, further editing of any facial features, body features, etc is permitted (please notify me before you do so!)
PHOTO USAGE / CREDIT: Photographs returned to you can be used for personal usage only (i.e, social media posting, personal promotion, etc.) For commercial printing, please contact me. Credit when posting should be made out to “abraxasia”, and a link to my IG must be included.
